Month-end was hell: copy, paste, cross-check the numbers, send the notification emails by hand. It never ended. I was at the office until 8pm every night and useless by the time I got home.

n8n connects Google Sheets and Gmail: on the 1st of every month it pulls the numbers from our ERP, works out the margins and emails my boss and finance. Set it up once and it runs forever.

After we opened the official account, customers kept asking the same things: "How much is shipping?" "Can I return this?" "Any discounts?" Nearly identical every time, and I still typed every answer by hand. Reply slowly and you get a bad review.

n8n connects the LINE Messaging API to ChatGPT, so common questions get classified and answered automatically. Customers asking at 2am get a reply, and I only step in for returns and complaints.

As the marketing planner I pulled data from sales, the warehouse and finance every week for the marketing report. The format changed every time, so merging it broke. Presenting numbers that don't add up is an awkward place to be.

Every Monday morning n8n pulls each department's Google Sheet, merges and calculates, builds the charts and drops them into the Notion report page. My boss asked who made it, and the whole office came over to ask.

What n8n can and can't do
