Starting October 17, 2026, new RoamerHost accounts can only be created with Google sign-in. Accounts that currently sign in with an email and password can keep doing so until October 31. After that, every account switches to Google sign-in.

Why we're making this change

Attacks where AI automatically guesses passwords, or takes passwords leaked from other sites and tries them in bulk, are becoming more and more common. In the past two weeks alone, our sign-in page blocked more than a hundred automated sign-in attempts. Rather than asking every member to remember yet another password and worry about whether it might leak, we decided to let Google guard the sign-in. Google has its own unusual sign-in detection and 2-Step Verification, and you don't have to remember another password.

Admin accounts, which can see all member data, must also enter a verification code from a phone in addition to signing in with Google. Even if someone got hold of an admin's Google account, they still couldn't get in.

What you need to do

If you already sign in with Google, you don't need to do anything. Most members already sign in this way.

If you signed up with Gmail but have always signed in with a password, click "Sign in with Google" on the sign-in page and choose the same Gmail address. You'll go straight into your existing account, and your sites and subscriptions stay exactly as they are. Once you've signed in this way, the accounts are linked.

If your email isn't a Gmail address (for example Yahoo, Hotmail or a company email), you don't need to change it. First create a Google Account with the email you use now: on Google's account creation page, choose "Use your existing email," enter the email you used to sign up for RoamerHost, and Google will send you a verification code. Once the account is set up, come back to RoamerHost and click "Sign in with Google." If your company email already runs on Google Workspace, just sign in with your company Google account.

If you open RoamerHost inside LINE or Facebook

Google doesn't allow signing in from the built-in browsers of apps like LINE, Facebook and Instagram. When you tap through to RoamerHost from one of these apps, the sign-in page will prompt you to open it in Chrome or Safari instead. If you tap "Sign in with Google" inside LINE, this page automatically opens in your phone's browser for you.

Trouble signing in

The most common issue is that the email on your Google Account is different from the one you used to sign up for RoamerHost. That gets treated as a new account, and you won't see your existing sites. Make sure you choose the same email when you sign in. If it still doesn't work, or your account situation is unusual, reply to our email or contact our support team, and we'll help you sort it out.
