What is RoamerHost WordPress hosting?
RoamerHost is a fully managed cloud hosting platform for WordPress. You don't rent a server, install Docker or configure an environment by hand — every piece of the underlying operations work is handled automatically by the platform.
- Automatic install in 60 seconds: after payment the system installs the latest version of WordPress and pre-configures the Traditional Chinese admin, the Taipei timezone and an SSL certificate.
- Isolated container, fully separated: every site runs in its own dedicated Docker container, completely isolated from other users — secure and stable.
- Automatic SSL: HTTPS certificates are issued and renewed automatically through Let's Encrypt, so your address is a secure connection from the very first day.
- Dedicated subdomain: the moment your site is provisioned you get your own
*.roamerhost.comsubdomain, so it is online immediately. - Graphical dashboard: from the dashboard you can start, stop and restart the site, manage plugins and themes, run backups and connect a custom domain.
In short: you focus on your content, and RoamerHost takes care of the server.
Who is this for?
If you want a WordPress site without touching complicated server technology, RoamerHost is a good fit. Typical users include:
- Bloggers and independent publishers: people who want a site that is entirely their own, to publish articles and build a readership.
- Small businesses and personal brands: anyone who needs a professional company site or brand presence.
- Online store owners: people who want to open a WooCommerce shop and sell products.
- Freelance designers and studios: anyone launching sites for clients who wants to skip environment setup.
You can comfortably run a professional site without knowing anything about cPanel, FTP or databases.
How is this different from shared hosting or a self-managed server?
Traditionally there were two routes to a WordPress site: rent traditional shared hosting, or rent a VPS or cloud server and set it up yourself. Both demand a certain level of technical skill. Here is how the three compare:
| Item | RoamerHost fully managed | Traditional shared hosting | Self-managed server |
|---|---|---|---|
| Installing WordPress | Automatic, 60 seconds after payment | Usually manual or through a control panel | You install and configure it |
| SSL certificate | Issued and renewed automatically | Often has to be requested manually | You set it up yourself |
| Server operations | Handled entirely by the platform | Partly your job | Entirely your job |
| Site isolation | Fully isolated in its own container | Often shares a machine with others | Depends on your architecture |
| Technical skill needed | Almost none | Moderate | High |
RoamerHost automates the most tedious parts — environment setup, security maintenance and certificate management — so you can spend your time on what actually matters: running your site.
What does fully managed get you?
Save time and effort, start immediately
No waiting on a technician, no reading tutorials to configure an environment. Sixty seconds after your subscription goes through, you are in the admin and working.
One-click login, no credentials to remember
From the dashboard you can log straight into the wp-admin backend with one click, without entering a username or password. If you need it, you can also reset the administrator password in one click and it takes effect immediately.
Security updates applied automatically
WordPress security updates are applied automatically so your site stays protected at all times; major version upgrades can be run from the dashboard in one click (back up first).
Plugins and themes without limits
Tens of thousands of free plugins and themes are installable, including WooCommerce for e-commerce, so your site's functionality can extend as far as you need.
Which plan should you pick?
RoamerHost WordPress plans are billed yearly by credit card through NewebPay, and you can cancel renewal at any time. There are currently two plans:
| Plan | Price (billed yearly) | Specs | Roamer AI | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WordPress Basic | NT$3,588/year (avg. NT$299/mo) | 1.5 vCPU / 10GB | Basic trial (3 conversations per month) | DIY personal blogs and brand sites |
| WP × Roamer AI Pro | NT$11,988/year (avg. NT$999/mo) | 2 vCPU / 10GB | Business-tier access: the AI goes into your site to build pages, change layouts and manage it | Small businesses and online stores that want to hand the build and upkeep to AI |
If you run a personal blog or a simple company brand site and plan to build it yourself, the 10GB on Basic is usually more than enough. If you would rather not build the site yourself — tell the AI what you want and it goes into your site to build pages, change layouts and handle menus, forms and SEO, screenshotting every change and letting you roll back in one click — or you plan to run a WooCommerce store, go with the Pro plan, which includes Business-tier Roamer AI and more compute. Both plans have 10GB of storage; if you have a very large image library and need more space, email [email protected] and we will work out an arrangement with you. See the pricing page for more detail.
Not sure which one? Start on Basic — when you want the AI's help or the site outgrows it, upgrade to Pro with one click in your dashboard; it takes effect as soon as you pay.

FAQ
Q: How is this different from renting a VPS and installing WordPress myself?
The difference is who runs the operations. A VPS gives you full control, but OS updates, SSL renewals, backup verification and troubleshooting when something breaks are all on you. Fully managed hosting takes those off your plate; the trade-off is a standardized environment where some low-level settings can't be changed. There is a full cost comparison in the cost table that counts maintenance time.
Q: Can I move an existing site here?
Yes. WordPress is highly portable: content lives in the database and files live in wp-content, so if you can get hold of both you can rebuild the site. Real migrations do have a few landmines that tutorials skip, though — above all the old URLs in the database, which cannot be swapped with a plain string replace (it breaks serialized data), and the way email is sent, which has to change. See migrating from shared hosting.
Q: How many sites can I run on one plan?
One plan is one isolated instance, which means one site. The upside is complete isolation — if one site is attacked or saturates its resources, the other is unaffected.
Q: Does more traffic cost more?
Plan specs describe compute resources and storage, not metered traffic. What matters is whether you have enough compute at peak, which is almost never an issue for an ordinary blog or brand site; only stores running paid ads need to evaluate it. WooCommerce hosting requirements explains how to judge that.
Q: Do Basic and Pro differ in features?
Yes — in Roamer AI and in resources. WordPress itself works the same on both plans (plugins, themes and WooCommerce all install freely), but Pro includes Business-tier Roamer AI access, so the AI goes into your site to build pages, change layouts and handle menus, forms, SEO and plugin updates; on Basic, Roamer AI is limited to a basic trial of 3 conversations per month. Pro also has more compute (2 vCPU versus 1.5 vCPU on Basic); storage is 10 GB on both plans, and if you need more, email [email protected] to work out an arrangement. So if you don't need the AI to do the work and your problem isn't "not fast enough", upgrading won't help. When to upgrade your plan explains how to tell.
