This article collects the questions people ask before subscribing. Questions from people already using the service, troubleshooting a problem, are in a separate article.

Q: Can I migrate my existing WordPress site here?

Yes. WordPress is highly portable — content lives in the database, uploaded files in wp-content, and themes and plugins are in standard directories. Get those three and you can rebuild the site.

But a real migration hits a few landmines the tutorials leave out, especially that old URLs in the database cannot be swapped with a simple string replace (it corrupts serialized data), and that the mail delivery method has to change. The migration article covers these in full, and it is worth reading before you move.

Q: How many sites can one plan host?

One plan means one instance, which means one WordPress site. A second site means a second subscription.

The upside is that the two sites are completely isolated — if one is attacked or saturates its resources, the other is unaffected. That is the opposite of shared hosting, which packs dozens of sites together.

Q: Is there a traffic cap? Do I get charged for going over?

The plan specs describe compute resources and storage, not metered traffic. What you should watch is not “will I be billed for overage” but whether compute is sufficient at peak.

For a typical blog or brand site, that is almost never an issue. The case that needs evaluating is a store running ads or seasonal promotions — that kind of traffic is peaky, and how to judge it is in the WooCommerce hosting requirements article.

Q: Are plugins restricted? Can I install WooCommerce?

There are no installation restrictions, and both plans can run WooCommerce. This is a full, standalone WordPress, not a feature-limited edition.

The real boundary is not “which plugins are banned” but plugins that need special server configuration — for example, compiling your own PHP extension, or a payment integration that needs a fixed outbound IP. Requirements of that kind are listed more completely in the managed hosting boundaries article.

Q: What is the difference between Basic and Pro? Do features differ?

Yes, and the biggest difference is Roamer AI. WordPress Basic is NT$3,588/year (avg. NT$299/mo, 1.5 vCPU / 10 GB) and covers the WordPress site only, with Roamer AI limited to a basic trial of 3 conversations per month. WP × Roamer AI Pro is NT$11,988/year (avg. NT$999/mo, 2 vCPU / 10 GB) and includes Business-tier Roamer AI access: the AI goes into your site to build pages, change layouts and handle menus and headers, forms, SEO and plugin updates, screenshots every change and lets you roll back in one click. WordPress itself — plugins, themes, WooCommerce — works the same on both plans.

So ask two questions when choosing: do you want the AI to do the work for you, and are the resources enough? If you plan to build the site yourself and your content and traffic are modest, Basic is enough; if you want to hand the build, redesigns and day-to-day upkeep to the AI, choose Pro. How to judge is in when to upgrade.

Q: Can I use my own domain? Do I have to buy SSL separately?

You can bind your own domain, and the SSL certificate is free and renews automatically — nothing to buy or handle manually.

You can also start without a domain: the system gives you a dedicated subdomain to use right away, and binding one later does not affect your site’s content.

Q: Can I cancel at any time? Is there a contract?

There is no cancellation fee, but public plans are billed yearly: you can cancel renewal from the dashboard at any time, service continues until the end of the current period, and you are not charged again; the period you have already paid for is not refunded. You can upgrade from Basic to Pro with one click in your dashboard at any time, and it takes effect as soon as you pay.

Q: I am not technical at all — can I actually use this?

The installation asks nothing of you: once payment goes through, the system automatically installs the latest WordPress with a Traditional Chinese interface and an SSL certificate, and one click in the dashboard takes you straight into the admin with no password to remember.

But to be honest: on Basic, the site’s content is still yours to run. Managed hosting solves “the server”, not “building a website”. If you want someone to do the hands-on work on the site itself too, look at WP × Roamer AI Pro: describe what you need and the AI goes into your site to build pages, change layouts and set up menus and forms, screenshots every change for you to check, and lets you roll back in one click.
