Yes, and there are more options than there were two years ago. The five that come up most often are the AI assistant built into WordPress.com, 10Web, Elementor's Angie plugin, the Hostinger Agent that comes with Hostinger hosting, and WP × Roamer AI, which we build.

If you're asking, you probably already have a site and something specific you want changed: a new promo image on the home page, a contact form that has stopped sending, or a row of plugin update notices you're not sure you should click. So instead of judging whose AI is smarter, this piece looks at the things that actually affect you: whether your current site can connect, whether you'd have to migrate, how far the AI can go, and what happens when a change goes wrong.

Prices and features were checked against each vendor's site in October 2026. Overseas vendors run frequent promotions and show prices by region; their prices here are in USD before tax. Where we say "see vendor site", the official pages don't spell it out, and we'd rather not guess.

Plugin or platform? Sort this out first

Once you know which kind you're looking at, the rest gets easier. Angie is a plugin: install it on the WordPress site you already have and keep your host. The flip side is that hosting, backups and rescue when the site goes down are still on you. WordPress.com, 10Web and Hostinger bundle their AI with their own hosting, so your site has to live there, and a site hosted elsewhere has to move first.

Roamer AI sits in between. An external WordPress site can connect with WordPress's built-in Application Passwords and get help with content, menus, plugins, SEO and products. Full-site builds, layout editing, snapshots and restores, emergency rescues and bulk updates reach into the hosting layer, so those come only with sites hosted on RoamerHost.

WordPress.com: easiest if your site already lives there

WordPress.com launched its AI assistant in February 2026 (the docs call it WordPress Agent), built right into the editor. You can ask it to rewrite or translate text, adjust layout and styles, generate or edit images, and find and install plugins. Since May, every paid plan (Personal, Premium, Business and Commerce) can switch it on. Billed yearly, they run from an average of US$4 a month for Personal to US$45 for Commerce, and you can pay in NT$.

The catch is that the site has to be on WordPress.com. A self-hosted site needs to move over first; WordPress.com offers assisted migration (about 2 to 3 business days on eligible plans) and a migration plugin. The assistant works best with block themes and doesn't show up in the editor for classic themes. The docs don't say how to roll back a batch of AI changes. WordPress's own revisions still work, and real-time backups start at the Business plan.

10Web: a good fit for starting over

10Web is AI site building plus hosting, on top of WordPress. Describe the site you want and it generates the whole thing, or give it the URL of an existing site and the AI rebuilds an editable copy. After that you make changes by chatting in the AI editor (rewriting copy, generating images, adding sections and pages, adjusting layouts), or switch to an Elementor-based drag-and-drop editor and do it by hand. Every change can be previewed, compared as a code diff and rolled back, and hosting includes automatic backups.

One thing to know: 10Web says its AI tools only work on pages created or rebuilt with the 10Web Builder and 10Web themes. Pages made with another theme or builder need rebuilding before the AI can touch them. AI Starter is US$120 for the first 12 months (one site, 100 credits a month, one credit per AI request); Premium and Ultimate are US$180 and US$270. Renewal pricing isn't spelled out, and there's a 30-day money-back guarantee. We couldn't find anything about a Chinese interface or Chinese-language support.

Elementor's Angie: you don't want to move and you're at home in WordPress

Angie is an AI agent plugin from Elementor, installed from WordPress.org. Elementor says it works on any WordPress site, not only ones built with the Elementor editor, though you need an Elementor account to sign in. By chatting with it you can generate full Elementor pages, custom widgets and code snippets, bulk-edit things like product prices or user roles, and track down failed emails, PHP conflicts and broken API connections.

It takes a careful approach. It lays out a plan and waits for your go-ahead, code it writes is built in a separate preview environment and only goes live once you approve it, and snippets can be rolled back through revisions. The plugin is free with daily credits that reset; for heavier use you upgrade to a paid Elementor plan, such as Elementor One with AI at US$180 for the first year and US$228 a year after that, paid in USD or EUR. You can give instructions in any major language, though the plugin interface has no Traditional Chinese translation on WordPress.org yet. Hosting, backups and rescues when the site breaks are still up to you or your host.

Hostinger Agent: if you're already with Hostinger

Hostinger's WordPress hosting comes with AI site building, AI troubleshooting, performance tuning and Hostinger Agent, which you can open from the control panel or the WordPress admin. On Business and cloud plans it can install, activate, deactivate and update plugins, switch and update themes, and create or edit WooCommerce coupons right from the chat. Before anything irreversible, like deleting records or making a purchase, it shows a confirmation card and waits for you.

The entry Premium plan is US$2.99 a month, but you pay 48 months upfront (about US$143.52) and it renews at US$10.99 a month; pricing for the Business and cloud plans that can act in the WordPress admin is on Hostinger's site. Each Agent message uses credits depending on how complex it is, and when the monthly allowance runs out you wait for the next cycle or buy more. Hostinger says it migrates sites from other hosts for free. Its Chinese site is in Simplified Chinese, and live support is mainly in English.

WP × Roamer AI: how we do it

Last, our own product. WP × Roamer AI is RoamerHost's fully managed WordPress plan, with hosting, WordPress and Roamer AI in one plan. What we set out to build is engineer-grade AI that doesn't ask you to be technical: connect your site in the Roamer AI sidebar, describe what you need in plain language, and it first lays out what it plans to do, then works inside your site once you say go.

You can hand it a lot: building pages, reworking layouts, site-wide headers, footers and menus, contact forms, SEO and WooCommerce products. It takes on the fiddly parts too, like reading plugin settings to find out why a contact form isn't sending, disabling suspect plugins one at a time when the site slows down, backing up before updating plugins in batches, and reading the error log to bring back a site stuck on a white screen. When no plugin does what you need, it writes a snippet to add the feature.

Because the AI really is changing your site, we put a lot of work into safety. It takes a snapshot before every change and checks desktop and mobile screenshots afterwards; if you don't like the result, say "undo". Higher-risk actions such as bulk updates, restoring snapshots, activating or deactivating plugins and switching themes only run after you press a confirmation code yourself. That rule is enforced in code, so the AI can't press it for you. Anything it can't solve gets written up with what it found and passed to a human engineer. There's more in Is AI Safe on Your Site?

WP × Roamer AI Pro is NT$11,988 a year (avg. NT$999/mo) and covers hosting, the site and full Roamer AI access, with no setup fee or add-ons. If you only want the site and plan to do the work yourself, WordPress Basic is NT$3,588 a year (avg. NT$299/mo) and includes 3 Roamer AI conversations a month to try it. Running out of AI allowance never costs extra, and the site keeps running. Both plans are billed yearly with no early-termination fee, and you can cancel renewal anytime; service continues to the end of the current term, and the term already paid isn't refunded.

The site itself is standard WordPress in its own container. Install any plugin or theme you like, WooCommerce included; hosting, SSL, automatic backups and security updates are part of the plan, you can export the whole site if you ever leave, and you can always log in and edit it yourself. If your site is hosted elsewhere, connect it with an Application Password and try the everyday tasks first. For the full feature set, email [email protected] and we'll move it for you; Pro includes migration help. To see real results, the full Roamer AI demo publishes every prompt and screenshot, and the member showcase has live sites.

When we'd tell you not to pick Roamer AI

If you want to stay with your current host and just add an AI helper you drive yourself, start with the free version of Angie. Roamer AI can connect to external sites, but snapshots, rescues and bulk updates only come with sites we host. If you need to tune Nginx, PHP extensions or server settings yourself, a fully managed environment will feel restrictive, and a VPS gives you more room.

Agencies that want many sites on one plan aren't a good fit either. We run one site per container, so each site needs its own plan, and 10Web's multi-site plans or other multi-site hosts will cost less. If price is all that matters and you're fine prepaying several years in USD, Hostinger's first term is cheaper (check the renewal price). If your site is already on WordPress.com and you just want to tweak text and images, turn on its AI assistant. Media sites or large stores with hundreds of thousands of monthly visits need a dedicated setup, so talk to us first. And if regulations or contracts require your data to stay in a specific country, choose a provider with servers in that country.

So which one?

If your site is already on WordPress.com, use its AI assistant; it's a switch on any paid plan. If your site is elsewhere, you don't want to move, and you're comfortable in WordPress, start with Angie's free version. Building something new, or happy to let AI rebuild from your current URL? Look at 10Web. If you're already with Hostinger, or price comes first and you mainly want help managing plugins and themes, Hostinger Agent will do, as long as you pick a Business or cloud plan.

If you're not technical and want to describe a change in a few sentences and have someone go in, build the page, fix the plugin and be able to undo it, that's what we built WP × Roamer AI Pro for. If you only need a WordPress site you'll run yourself, WordPress Basic also comes with yearly NT$ billing and support from a team in Taiwan. Still deciding? Request a free trial: no credit card, and someone from our team will set you up. Mention Roamer AI in the request if you'd like to try it.

FAQ

Q: I already have a WordPress site. Do I have to migrate before AI can edit it?

Not necessarily. Angie works as soon as the plugin is installed, and Roamer AI can connect to an external site with an Application Password for content, menus, plugins, SEO and products. The AI from WordPress.com, 10Web and Hostinger needs the site hosted with them, and 10Web also needs pages rebuilt in its editor. Roamer AI's full-site builds, layout editing, snapshots and restores, emergency rescues and bulk updates need the site hosted on RoamerHost; Pro includes migration help.

Q: What if the AI breaks something?

Check whether it leaves you a way back. Angie asks you to approve a plan and builds code in a preview environment first; 10Web's AI editor can roll back to earlier versions; Hostinger Agent shows a confirmation card before irreversible actions. On sites we host, Roamer AI takes a snapshot before every change, checks screenshots afterwards, undoes on request, and needs your confirmation code for higher-risk actions. Whichever you choose, keep separate backups of an important site with a backup plugin and store them somewhere else.

Q: Can the AI fix plugin settings or site errors?

It depends on the service. Angie says it can investigate failed emails, PHP conflicts and API connection problems; Hostinger Agent on Business and cloud plans can install, activate, deactivate and update plugins and themes; WordPress.com's assistant can find and install plugins. Roamer AI reads plugin settings and error logs to find the cause, for example a contact form that isn't delivering, and disables suspect plugins one at a time to find conflicts; for sites we host it can also recover from a white screen. Actions like deactivating a plugin ask for your confirmation code first.

Q: Do these services charge extra credits?

Most do. 10Web AI Starter includes 100 credits a month at one per AI request; Angie's free version has daily credits, with more on paid Elementor plans; Hostinger Agent uses credits per message depending on complexity, with top-ups available; WordPress.com's assistant is included in paid plans, with usage limits per its site. With WP × Roamer AI Pro, running out of allowance never costs extra, and the site keeps running.

Q: Can I give instructions in Chinese?

Instructions, interface and support are worth checking separately. Angie accepts instructions in major languages, but its interface has no Traditional Chinese yet; Hostinger's Chinese site is in Simplified Chinese; we found nothing on a Chinese interface for 10Web; WordPress.com has Traditional Chinese pages. Roamer AI's interface is in Traditional Chinese, you can describe what you need in Chinese or English, and support comes from a team in Taiwan that answers in either.

Q: Can I try before I buy?

Yes. Angie has a free version; 10Web and Hostinger offer 30-day money-back guarantees; WordPress.com's assistant needs a paid plan. For RoamerHost, use the free trial form, no credit card needed; WordPress Basic itself includes 3 Roamer AI conversations a month.
