As of October 2026, at least eight services offer an AI that can work inside a WordPress site you already have: SiteGround's AI Agent, Hostinger Agent, WordPress.com's WordPress Agent (plus its official connector for ChatGPT and Claude), GoDaddy's Airo for WordPress, Bluehost's AI editing tools, 10Web, Elementor's Angie plugin, and our own WP × Roamer AI. They all promise that you can edit your site by chatting. The real differences come down to three things: whether you have to move the site first, how deep the AI can reach, and how you get back to where you were when a change goes wrong.
If you want to keep your current host and simply add an AI helper that you supervise yourself, SiteGround's AI Agent and Angie install as plugins on almost any WordPress site. If you would rather have managed WordPress hosting where one team looks after the server, updates, backups and an AI agent that edits your existing site for you, that is what WP × Roamer AI is built for: it takes a snapshot before every change, and saying "undo" rolls it back. If all you need is a brand-new site that you will tweak in an editor later, WordPress.com, GoDaddy, Bluehost or 10Web will get you there quickly.
Features and prices were checked against each company's official pages in October 2026. Prices are in US dollars excluding tax unless noted, promotions change often, and amounts can vary by region. Where an official page does not say something, we say so rather than guess.
Building a new site and editing an existing one are different jobs
Ask a chatbot whether any AI can edit your WordPress site and you often get a mixed list. Wix, Framer and Webflow are site platforms in their own right, not WordPress, so using them means rebuilding your site somewhere else. 10Web, Bluehost and GoDaddy are at their best generating a fresh site in minutes. That is useful, but if you already run a site with years of posts, products and orders, the questions change.
Three questions sort the options quickly. Can the site stay where it is, or does the AI only work on the vendor's own servers? How deep can the AI go: text and images, layout and styles, or also plugins, settings and error logs? And what happens when it gets something wrong: does it only ask before acting, or can it also roll a change back afterwards? For a shorter look at five common approaches, see AI services that edit your WordPress site. If you are actually starting from scratch, our comparison of no-code site tools is the better read.
The eight options side by side
The table only lists what each company states on its official pages. "Existing site" means a site the AI did not generate itself.
| Service | What the AI can do on an existing site | Undoing a bad change | Starting price (official, checked Oct 2026) | Language and support |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WP × Roamer AI RoamerHost | Builds pages, reworks layouts, headers, footers and menus, forms, SEO, WooCommerce products, plugin settings and debugging, conflict checks, batch updates, white-screen rescue; sites from other hosts can be moved over whole | Automatic snapshot before each change, desktop and mobile screenshots after; say "undo" to roll back; high-risk actions need your confirmation code | WP × Roamer AI Pro NT$11,988 a year (about US$369), avg. NT$999/mo, hosting, site and AI included | Traditional Chinese interface, Taiwan-based support team, billed in TWD |
| SiteGround AI Agent | Connects to WordPress on any host through a plugin; posts and pages, menus, media, SEO fields, WooCommerce, plugins and themes, users, site settings | Power Mode is off by default, so deletions and bulk edits pause for your approval | Free for hosting customers with 20,000 tokens a month; StartUp hosting US$2.99/mo prepaid for 12 months, renews at US$17.99/mo | English; no Chinese support stated |
| Hostinger Hostinger Agent | Sites hosted at Hostinger only; posts and pages, menus, media, SEO, WooCommerce, plugins and themes, users, site settings | Confirmation card before destructive actions; asks before installing plugins | Included with Business and Cloud plans; Cloud Startup US$7.99/mo paid 48 months upfront, renews at US$25.99/mo | No Traditional Chinese interface found |
| WordPress.com WordPress Agent, ChatGPT connector | Sites on WordPress.com only; edits text, layout, styles and images in the editor, installs plugins; ChatGPT and similar tools can edit posts, pages, comments and media | The connector asks you to approve every change and saves new posts as drafts; one-click restore on Business and above | Personal from US$4/mo billed yearly | Traditional Chinese interface available |
| GoDaddy Airo for WordPress | On Airo-built sites, a dashboard sidebar edits pages, headers, footers, styles, settings and plugins by chat; Site Refresh redesigns an existing site while keeping its content | Explains big changes and waits for approval, can work on a draft; Undo restores earlier versions | See official pricing (we could not load the pricing page) | No Chinese support stated |
| Bluehost AI Website Builder, AI Editor | On sites built with Bluehost's AI, chat requests rewrite content, swap images, adjust sections and colors | Official docs do not say how AI edits are reverted | AI Website Builder Get Online US$8.49/mo on a one-year term, 20 credits a month | No Chinese support stated |
| 10Web | Paste your current URL and it rebuilds the site with a new design from your content; pages, layout and URLs may change | Every page can be reviewed before publishing | AI Starter US$120 for the first 12 months (1 site, 100 credits a month) | No Chinese support stated |
| Elementor Angie plugin | Installs on any WordPress site; Elementor layouts, widgets, code snippets, bulk edits, finding conflicting plugins | Proposes a plan for approval and builds in an isolated test environment before anything goes live | Plugin is free with daily credits; Elementor One US$180 for the first year (hosting not included) | Understands prompts in your language; no Chinese plugin translation |
These are starting prices, and AI allowances vary a lot between plans. Low introductory prices from the big hosts usually require paying 12 to 48 months upfront, and renewals go back to the regular rate, so include the renewal when you compare.
No migration needed: SiteGround AI Agent and Elementor Angie
SiteGround added its AI Agent to AI Studio in early 2026. You install the "AI Agent by SiteGround" plugin and paste in a connection key from AI Studio, and the documentation is explicit that the site does not have to be hosted at SiteGround. Once connected, the agent can create, edit and publish posts and pages, organize menus and categories, fill in SEO titles, descriptions and alt text, handle WooCommerce products, bulk price changes and order status, install, update and deactivate plugins and themes, and change site settings and users. One instruction can run across several connected sites, which helps if you manage many. WordPress Multisite is not supported yet.
Its safety layer is called Power Mode and it is off by default. While it is off, hard-to-reverse actions such as deleting content, bulk edits, user changes, site settings and order management pause until you switch Power Mode on. You can ask it to back up the site before plugin updates, but the documentation does not describe a way to roll back AI edits afterwards. SiteGround hosting customers get AI Studio Essential free with 20,000 tokens a month; the cheapest StartUp hosting plan is US$2.99/mo prepaid for 12 months and renews at US$17.99/mo. If your site lives elsewhere you need a separate AI Studio plan, priced on SiteGround's site.
Elementor's Angie is also a plugin, free from WordPress.org, and Elementor says it works on any WordPress site. It is strongest at full Elementor page layouts, custom widgets and code snippets, and in Super Admin mode it can bulk-edit product prices and read the debug log to find a conflicting plugin. It proposes a plan before acting and builds in an isolated test environment, so nothing goes live until you approve it. The plugin is free with daily credits, and Elementor One, the paid plan with AI, is US$180 for the first year and US$228 a year after that, without hosting. Hosting, backups and recovery when the site breaks remain your job. We cover pricing and our hands-on impressions in Elementor Angie pricing and comparison.
Tied to the host: Hostinger Agent and WordPress.com
Hostinger merged its former Kodee assistant and several specialist agents into Hostinger Agent, available in hPanel and inside the WordPress dashboard. Its WordPress documentation lists plugins and themes, users, posts and pages, categories and tags, comments, media, menus, SEO, WooCommerce and site settings, and destructive actions trigger a confirmation card first. Two limits matter: it only works on sites hosted at Hostinger, and its support docs say it will not edit content on pages built with Elementor, walking you through the change instead. The agent is included with Business and Cloud plans; in October Cloud Startup was US$7.99/mo paid 48 months upfront, renewing at US$25.99/mo. Support requests are free, while business tasks such as marketing draw on credits. See Hostinger's AI compared with Roamer AI for more detail.
WordPress.com offers two routes. The WordPress Agent lives in the editor; it launched in February 2026 and since May can be switched on for the Personal, Premium, Business and Commerce plans. It rewrites text, adds blocks, adjusts layout and colors, generates images, and finds and installs plugins. It works best with block themes and does not appear in the editor on classic themes. The second route is the official connector that lets ChatGPT, Claude and other tools you already use read and write posts, pages, comments, categories and media. Every change needs your approval, new posts start as drafts, and deleted items sit in the trash for 30 days.
Both routes assume the site is hosted on WordPress.com, so a self-hosted site has to move first. Plans start at US$4/mo for Personal, US$8 for Premium and US$25 for Business, billed yearly before tax, and real-time backups with one-click restore start at Business. Our WordPress.com AI builder review covers what it produces and what you can take with you, and what WordPress MCP is explains how AI tools connect to WordPress in the first place.
Starting from a generated site: GoDaddy Airo, Bluehost and 10Web
GoDaddy's Airo for WordPress comes with its Managed Hosting for WordPress plans: describe your business and it generates a multi-page WordPress site. Since April 2026 Airo has lived in a dashboard sidebar where you can add pages, rewrite sections and change colors by chat. The June update let it change settings, update content and work with plugins through the WordPress Abilities API and REST API, and the September roundup adds headers, footers, templates and global styles. It explains big changes in plain language and waits for your approval, can work on a draft first, and Undo restores earlier versions. For existing sites, read the fine print: in April GoDaddy said the sidebar worked only on Airo-built sites and that wider support was coming, and later posts do not spell out the current scope. A separate Site Refresh feature keeps the content of an existing site on its plan and rebuilds the design on staging before syncing it live. We could not load GoDaddy's pricing page, so check prices there.
Bluehost has three AI products with similar names. WordPress AI Builder, renamed from WonderSuite in September, is a guided setup included with its hosting: pick a design, then customize it in WordPress yourself. With AI Website Builder, the AI agent stays in the chat after launch to rewrite content, swap images and adjust sections, at one credit per request; the Get Online plan is US$8.49/mo on a one-year term with 20 credits a month. The result is a standard WordPress site you can export, but Bluehost's FAQ says you cannot install, deactivate or delete plugins or switch themes on it. The third, AI Editor, works through the Bluehost plugin to add, edit and remove page content and change the color scheme, and its documentation describes it for AI-generated sites. None of these documents says how AI edits are reverted.
10Web now positions itself as an agentic site builder with a WordPress back end and an AI-generated front end. You can edit any page by chat or click to change things in a visual editor. If you already have a site, you paste its URL and 10Web uses your text, images and services as the starting point for a new design and structure; it says pages, layout and URLs can change, and you review every page before publishing. AI Starter is US$120 for the first 12 months (regular US$240) for one site with 100 credits a month, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
WP × Roamer AI: hosting and the AI agent from one team
Finally, our own service. WP × Roamer AI is RoamerHost's plan that bundles hosting, WordPress and Roamer AI. Roamer AI is meant to be an engineer-grade AI you can use without technical skills: you say what you want changed, it lays out a plan, and only after you confirm does it log in and do the work, then it shows you desktop and mobile screenshots.
On an existing site it works much like a developer who knows WordPress: new pages, layout changes, site-wide headers, footers and menus, contact forms, SEO and WooCommerce products. It also takes on the harder jobs, such as reading plugin settings and error logs when a form stops sending, deactivating suspect plugins one by one to find a conflict, backing up before updating plugins in batches, and bringing a white-screened site back. When no plugin does what you need, it can write a small piece of code to add the feature. Every change starts with an automatic snapshot, and saying "undo" rolls it back. Batch updates, deactivating plugins and switching themes require you to enter a confirmation code yourself; the AI cannot do it for you. The full set of safeguards is in is it safe to let AI edit your site.
There are two ways to bring an existing site. Move it to RoamerHost and every feature is available; WP × Roamer AI Pro includes migration help, and posts, pages, plugins, members and orders come across with the site. The usual sticking points are covered in six things that come up when moving from shared hosting. If you want to keep the site where it is for now, you can connect it with a WordPress application password and let Roamer AI handle content, menus, plugins, SEO and products; snapshots, layout editing, emergency rescue and batch updates need the site to be hosted with us.
WP × Roamer AI Pro is NT$11,988 a year (about US$369), an average of NT$999 a month, covering hosting, the site, automatic backups and a Roamer AI allowance that refreshes every day, with no extra charge if you use it up. If you just want the site and will do the work yourself, WordPress Basic is NT$3,588 a year (about US$110), an average of NT$299 a month. Both plans include 10 GB of storage and you can cancel renewal at any time; compare them on our WordPress hosting plans and pricing. To watch it work on a real site, the full demo publishes every prompt from a blank site to an open store.
When a change goes wrong: confirmation versus rollback
The safeguards fall into two groups. Some stop the AI before it acts: SiteGround's Power Mode, Hostinger's confirmation cards, Angie's plan approval and the WordPress.com connector's per-change approval all catch the case where the AI misreads what you meant. Others let you go back afterwards: GoDaddy Airo's Undo, WordPress.com's one-click restore on Business and above, and Roamer AI's snapshot before every change. A confirmation prompt cannot catch a change that looked fine at the time and broke the mobile layout once it went live; for that you need a snapshot or a backup. Whichever service you choose, keep the domain registered in your own name, keep an administrator login for yourself, and keep a backup somewhere else. If your site is already showing a white screen, start with our white-screen rescue steps.
How to choose
If you already have a WordPress site, want to tell an AI what to change, and want the hosting, updates, backups and rescue handled by the same team, choose WP × Roamer AI: WP × Roamer AI Pro averages NT$999 a month billed yearly, and saying "undo" rolls back any change. It is the natural fit if you need Traditional Chinese, TWD billing or a team based in Taiwan. If you want to keep your current host and are happy to approve each action yourself, SiteGround's AI Agent connects to sites on any host, and Angie is the smoothest choice if you already design with Elementor. If your site is on WordPress.com, its WordPress Agent or the ChatGPT connector is the simplest option, and if you are already on a Hostinger Business or Cloud plan, Hostinger Agent costs nothing extra.
If you only need a brand-new site that you will edit yourself afterwards, WordPress.com, GoDaddy Airo, Bluehost or 10Web are enough, and 10Web or GoDaddy's Site Refresh suit a full redesign that keeps your content. To compare the overall approaches first, read the complete guide to making a website with AI tools. Once you decide to hand the work over, you can build a website with AI and keep redesigns and upkeep in the same place.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Is there managed WordPress hosting with an AI agent that edits my existing site?
Yes. WP × Roamer AI bundles managed hosting with Roamer AI, which logs into your existing WordPress site to edit pages, layouts, menus, forms, SEO, products and plugins, taking a snapshot first so every change can be undone. Hostinger includes Hostinger Agent with its Business and Cloud plans for sites it hosts, and SiteGround gives its hosting customers its AI Agent at no extra cost.
Q: Which WordPress hosts have a built-in AI assistant?
Among the services we checked in October 2026: RoamerHost (Roamer AI), SiteGround (AI Agent, which also connects to sites on other hosts), Hostinger (Hostinger Agent on Business and Cloud plans), WordPress.com (WordPress Agent on paid plans), GoDaddy (Airo for WordPress) and Bluehost (AI Website Builder and AI Editor). 10Web builds its platform around AI, and Angie is a plugin you can add to any host.
Q: Do I have to move my site to use an AI that edits WordPress?
Not always. SiteGround's AI Agent and Elementor's Angie are plugins that work on WordPress at any host, and Roamer AI can connect to an external site with an application password for everyday content, menu, plugin, SEO and product work. Hostinger Agent and WordPress.com's AI only work on sites hosted with them. If you want snapshots and rescue when the site breaks, having the host and the AI under one roof covers more.
Q: Can ChatGPT edit my WordPress site directly?
If the site is on WordPress.com, yes: the official connector lets ChatGPT read and write posts, pages, comments, categories and media, with your approval for every change. A self-hosted site needs an MCP plugin and permissions you set up yourself, and what it can change depends on that plugin. ChatGPT will not back up or rescue the site for you, so plan for that separately.
Q: What happens if the AI breaks something on my live site?
It depends on the safety net. SiteGround, Hostinger, Angie and the WordPress.com connector ask before acting; GoDaddy Airo offers Undo; Roamer AI snapshots before every change, rolls back when you say "undo" and requires a confirmation code for high-risk actions. Whatever you use, keep a backup stored somewhere else and update plugins in small batches, as described in how to update plugins without fear.
