Key takeaways: In 2026 you can build a website without writing code, and almost every major tool can now "generate a whole site from a few sentences, then edit it by chatting." The real differences show up after launch: can you move the site elsewhere, how is AI usage metered, do you have to sign a long contract, and can you pay in NT$ and get a Taiwan invoice. If you want to start free and don't mind that the site can't leave the platform, start with Wix. If price comes first and you can prepay 48 months, look at Hostinger AI Builder. If you already use WordPress and want AI help with layouts, look at Elementor AI. If you want to tell an AI in plain Chinese to build pages, rework layouts, and set up menus and forms directly in your site—with automatic screenshots after every change and one-click undo—on a standard WordPress site you can export in full, look at WP × Roamer AI Pro (NT$11,988/year, avg. NT$999/mo).

Last verified: October 2026. Prices are often promotional and vary by region and currency; figures here reflect each vendor's official pages at the time of writing, so check before you buy. "See vendor site" means the official page doesn't say or the price varies by region, and we don't guess.

"How do I build a website if I can't code?" has a very different answer in 2026 than it did three years ago. Drag-and-drop editors are still here, but nearly every platform now adds AI on top: describe your shop or brand and you get a respectable-looking site in minutes. This guide lines up the options people in Taiwan compare most often. We don't rank whose AI is "smarter"—that's subjective and changes monthly—we compare verifiable facts that affect you.

First decide: do you need a site generated, or a site looked after?

Almost every tool can now generate a first draft. What fewer people think about is month two: opening hours change, you need a new page, plugins want updates, one day the site won't load. Ask yourself three questions before choosing:

  1. Can the site move later? If you switch platforms or prices go up, can you take the whole site with you?
  2. How is AI usage metered? Most platforms use "AI credits"; when they run out you wait for next month, upgrade or buy more.
  3. Is paying and bookkeeping easy? USD subscriptions bring exchange-rate swings and foreign card fees, and even overseas platforms that issue Taiwan cloud invoices usually issue them to individual buyers—ask your accountant how to book them for a company.

Wix: quickest start, but the site can't leave Wix

  • What the AI does: Wix Harmony, launched January 2026, includes an AI agent called Aria that builds an entire site by conversation (pages, layout, colors, copy, images) and can then edit an existing site's design and structure by chat. Harmony launched in English first, with other languages rolling out later.
  • AI usage: chatting with Aria doesn't use credits; other AI tools consume AI credits, roughly 150–1,000 per month on paid plans. Credits can't be bought separately—you upgrade the plan.
  • Price: there's a free plan, but it shows a Wix ad and uses a wixsite.com subdomain. Paid plans are Light, Core, Business and Business Elite; prices and currency vary by region, so check the Taiwan price on Wix's site.
  • Watch out for: Wix states that sites run only on Wix servers and can't be exported to another host. NT$ isn't listed as a payment currency. Wix is on the Ministry of Finance's list of cross-border e-commerce companies issuing cloud invoices, so individual buyers can get a cloud invoice; companies should check with their accountant.

Hostinger AI Builder: lowest entry price, with a long contract

  • What the AI does: one AI Builder with two modes—drag-and-drop Manual mode (AI generates a first draft, copy, logo and images, no credits used) and Agentic mode, which builds and edits by chat (each request uses credits; a simple business page takes about 5–10; it can generate from a URL, image or PDF).
  • Price: the US site shows Premium at US$2.99/mo, but that requires 48 months paid upfront (about US$143.52) and renews at US$10.99/mo; Unlimited starts at US$3.99/mo. No free plan; there's a 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee (if AI usage stays within 30 credits).
  • Watch out for: Agentic mode can export full source code; Manual mode only moves pages, text and images to WordPress—styles, store and forms stay behind. If the plan lapses, project data is deleted. Hostinger's Chinese site is in Simplified Chinese; we found nothing on NT$ payment or Taiwan invoices.
  • Also: Hostinger's WordPress hosting includes AI site building and an AI assistant (Hostinger Agent; business requests consume credits).

Elementor AI: for people already on WordPress

  • What the AI does: Elementor is a WordPress page-builder plugin. Its AI agent, Angie, generates full Elementor pages, custom widgets and code snippets by chat, and handles bulk operations, debugging and SEO fixes—showing you a plan to approve first. Elementor says you can prompt in any language.
  • Price: AI generation requires Elementor One (US$180 first year, renews at US$228/yr, 1 site, 25,000 credits a month, 1–40 credits per AI action); regular Pro plans don't include AI generation. Payment in USD, EUR and others—no NT$.
  • Watch out for: Elementor isn't hosting; you need a WordPress site and a host (Elementor also sells Elementor Host—see its site for pricing). The upside: it's WordPress, and Elementor states you can move your site to any host at any time.

WordPress.com: WordPress freedom without running a server

  • What the AI does: describe your site and it generates pages, layout, images and copy; you can revise in plain language, switch between AI and manual editing, and undo. After launch, WordPress Agent can extend pages, rewrite copy and generate images. The AI builder needs a paid plan and currently doesn't cover e-commerce.
  • Price: free plan (ads, wordpress.com subdomain). Paid plans billed yearly average Personal US$4, Premium US$8, Business US$25 and Commerce US$45 a month (monthly billing costs more; multi-year prepay costs less). NT$ payment is supported.
  • Watch out for: all paid plans (from Personal) can now install plugins; the free plan can't. The built-in export covers only posts, pages and comments—moving the whole site needs a plugin. Its parent company, Automattic, is on the Ministry of Finance's cross-border cloud invoice list.

Squarespace: polished templates, limited portability

Blueprint AI builds a site through a short Q&A, and AI can also generate or rewrite text and create images (using credits); Clarkson AI, its chat editor, is rolling out gradually. No free plan, a 14-day trial, prices shown by region; subscriptions can be paid in NT$, and Squarespace is on the Ministry of Finance's cross-border cloud invoice list. Note that export only produces partial content in WordPress format—most features can't come with you—and the help center isn't available in Chinese.

WP × Roamer AI: say it in Chinese, and the AI works inside your WordPress

WP × Roamer AI is RoamerHost's fully managed WordPress plan (by Roamer Tech, Taiwan), bundling hosting, a WordPress site and Roamer AI. Roamer AI is positioned as "an engineer-level AI you don't need technical skills to use":

  • How it works: connect your site from the Roamer AI sidebar in one click and describe what you want in Chinese—for example, "build a café website with a home page, menu, store info and contact page." It lays out a plan for you to approve, then goes into the site to build pages, write copy, generate images, set up a sitewide header, footer and menus, add a contact form and configure SEO.
  • It checks its own work: after every step it takes desktop and mobile screenshots to verify the layout; it snapshots before each change, so "undo" rolls it back; high-risk actions such as bulk updates or deactivating plugins only run after you enter a confirmation code yourself.
  • It keeps looking after the site: new products, price changes, plugin updates (back up first, update in batches, roll back if something breaks), and white-screen rescue by reading error logs. If it can't solve something, it hands a written summary to a human engineer.
  • The site is yours: standard WordPress with tens of thousands of plugins available (including WooCommerce), full-site export to any host, and you can always log in to the WordPress admin and edit by hand.
  • Price: WP × Roamer AI Pro is NT$11,988/year (avg. NT$999/mo) for hosting + site + a Roamer AI business license, including help migrating an existing site. The do-it-yourself WordPress Basic plan is NT$3,588/year (avg. NT$299/mo) with just 3 trial Roamer AI conversations a month. Both plans are billed yearly with no cancellation fee, and you can turn off renewal anytime. Roamer AI has a daily usage quota; running out never triggers extra charges, the site keeps running, and the quota resets the next day.

To see real results first, check the full Roamer AI demo (every prompt and screenshot is public) and the member showcase.

To be straight with you, WP × Roamer AI isn't the best fit if:

  • You want to start completely free: Wix or WordPress.com free plans have a lower barrier (at the cost of ads and a subdomain).
  • Price is your only criterion: if you can prepay 48 months, Hostinger AI Builder has a lower monthly average.
  • You need many sites on one plan: RoamerHost runs one site per container, so each site needs its own plan; agencies may prefer multi-site plans.
  • You're building a mid-to-large online store and need full local payment, logistics and marketing tools: Taiwan commerce platforms such as SHOPLINE and CYBERBIZ are more complete (and cost more—e.g., SHOPLINE's entry plan starts at NT$40,000/year plus a setup fee, CYBERBIZ at NT$28,350/year; see their sites).
  • Regulations or contracts require hosting in a specific country: choose a provider with servers in that country that can commit to data residency in writing.

FAQ

Q: Can I really build a decent website with zero coding?

Yes. None of the tools here require code, and the AI can produce a first version with layout, copy and images. What usually takes time is content: the more complete your brand story, products, photos and contact details, the closer the AI gets to what you want.

Q: Is AI usage charged separately?

Most platforms meter it in credits. Wix paid plans include roughly 150–1,000 a month with no top-ups; Hostinger AI Builder's chat mode uses credits per request and sells top-ups; Elementor One includes 25,000 a month that don't roll over. WP × Roamer AI Pro uses a daily quota—no extra charges when it runs out, and it resets the next day.

Q: Which AI website builders let me move my site?

WordPress-based options move most easily: Elementor, WordPress.com (full-site export via plugin) and WP × Roamer AI are all standard WordPress. Wix states sites can't be exported to other hosts; Squarespace exports only partial content; Hostinger AI Builder's Agentic mode exports source code, while drag-and-drop mode only partially exports to WordPress.

Q: Can I pay in NT$ and get a Taiwan invoice?

WordPress.com and Squarespace accept NT$ payment. Wix, Squarespace and WordPress.com (Automattic) are on the Ministry of Finance's list of cross-border e-commerce companies issuing cloud invoices, so individual buyers in Taiwan get a cloud invoice; if your company needs an invoice with its Tax ID, ask your accountant how to handle foreign electronic services. Hostinger and Elementor don't list NT$ and aren't on that list. RoamerHost bills in NT$, and checkout can issue a company invoice with your Tax ID.

Q: Wix or WordPress?

Wix is all-in-one—hosting, editor and AI built in—and fast to start, but your site stays on Wix. WordPress is open source with a huge plugin ecosystem and full portability; the trade-off is that someone has to manage hosting and updates. You can hand that to a managed host, or to an AI like Roamer AI that works directly inside the site.

Q: How is WP × Roamer AI different from Elementor AI?

Elementor AI is a WordPress plugin: you bring your own hosting and pay yearly in USD. WP × Roamer AI is fully managed hosting, WordPress and AI in one plan, billed yearly in NT$. Beyond building pages and layouts, Roamer AI also handles maintenance such as plugin updates and white-screen rescue, snapshotting before every change and checking screenshots afterward.

Q: I already have a WordPress site. Can I use Roamer AI?

Yes. External WordPress sites connect with an application password for everyday work—content, menus, plugins, SEO and products. Full-site building and layout editing, snapshots and restores, emergency rescue and bulk updates require a RoamerHost-hosted site. The Pro plan includes help migrating an existing site.

Q: Can I try before I decide?

Yes. Submit the free trial form—no credit card, and our team will set you up. The WordPress Basic plan also includes 3 trial Roamer AI conversations a month; upgrade to Pro in one click when you're ready to hand the site to AI.
